Daichi Takagi (Japan)
Website

Daichi Takagi produces abstract works focusing on basic, complementary elements of painting, such as flatness and picture plane depth, figure and ground, colour and luminosity, and hard edges and blurring. In this exhibition, he presents works produced during his stay at B.a.d.

Kate Price (Australia)
Website

Kate Price is an Australian artist based in Melbourne. She is curious of the moulding that takes place on one’s sense of self over time, from both extraneous and inner factors, and how we display such individualism, be it through symbolic actions or physical objects. Through her predominantly drawing-, painting-, and installation-based practice, she constructs an array of figurative and abstracted pieces – as illustrations of moments or thoughts, attempts to document or understand – to question what makes each of us tick away or become compelled to join the group.

Paul van Katwijk (the Netherlands)
Website

Paul van Katwijk is a Dutch artist based in Melbourne, Australia. By investigating the use of abstract signs and symbols present in society, Van Katwijk manipulates mundane images, isolating the physical make-up of these loaded symbols, and in doing so questions the perceived consequences these signs aim to implement.
