K&C, founded in 1981 and established in 1988 in a former factory in the port area of Rotterdam West, has a rich history. As one of the oldest artist studios in the city, it has also provided space for numerous guest artists, fostering creativity and community.
However, this vibrant hub now faces the threat of disappearance due to ongoing developments in the M4H area. The growing shortage of artist studios in Rotterdam underscores the urgency of preserving such spaces, which are essential for nurturing artistic expression and innovation in the city.
Protecting K&C is crucial for maintaining Rotterdam’s cultural landscape.
